Serving as the new headquarters for the Simon James brand, this project focuses on the adaptive reuse of a 1970’s warehouse. Located in a light industrial precinct within the suburb of Mt. Eden, the former warehouse was in a half-demolished condition internally, and required significant rework throughout.

The project looked to rationalise the building, retaining the original architectural features, and inserting the new showroom and offices within - in a way that respected the geometries, proportions and materiality of the existing structure. A key aim of the project was to stitch it into the existing urban fabric of the surrounding semi-industrial precinct in a way that enhances the public interface.
