Located within the eastern bays, Cliff House is positioned with views back over Auckland’s Waitemata Habour. On a narrow site which slopes away from the road, the proposal is based on a linear plan arrangement which unfolds in a sequence as one moves through the building. An ongoing dialogue between refuge and prospect is at play - with heavy-weight walls framing views and mediating privacy with neighbours.
