Established in 2014, the Auckland based practice was founded by Katrina Keshaw and Xuan McArthur Nguyen after gaining extensive experience on a broad range of scales and typologies in both New Zealand and Japan.
Katrina Keshaw is well versed in both small and large-scale projects with her body of work spanning from private houses, multi-residential, commercial retail and offices to interiors.
Katrina possesses a fine design sensibility, with an ability to establish a carefully considered dialogue with site, and draw from the myriad subtleties that each project holds. She has the ability to efficiently generate ideas while encouraging development through the combined expertise of the project team, recognising the importance of understanding others’ points of view, knowledge and skills.
Katrina studied Architecture at the University of Auckland School of Architecture. Between 2008 and 2014, she gained experience working in New Zealand and Japan.
Xuan McArthur Nguyen is an Architect whose experience spans both public and private sectors in New Zealand and abroad. In 2014, he co-founded Keshaw McArthur following his return from Japan.
He is experienced in managing delivery of design projects, with skill in ensuring refined execution down to the finest detail. Xuan's appreciation for detail enables him to work across many scales. This extended to his experience working in Japan, where he was involved in residential and commercial projects. Working in this multi-lingual environment, Xuan gained comprehensive experience, including designing furniture and fittings as well as further developing a knowledge and appreciation for fabrication techniques and materials.
Xuan received his education in New Zealand at the University of Auckland School of Architecture. He has been a New Zealand Registered Architect since 2013.
