Keshaw McArthur is an architectural design office that engages in the production of buildings, interiors, landscapes and furniture. It endeavors to explore the ever-changing relationship between architecture, people and the environment. Through experimentation, spontaneity and suggestion, they produce work that embodies a sense of place and exchange. Each project offers an opportunity to expand this dialogue while developing new interpretations of past building fundamentals.
Harmony, longevity and presence are core principals to Keshaw McArthur’s practice. A building is a vessel, a container of movement. The relationship to its inhabitants is essential. It should not recede nor speak too loudly. The office uses digital tools in combination with material testing, model-making and handcraft to achieve their vision.
The Auckland based practice is led by Katrina Keshaw and Xuan McArthur Nguyen.
